Soup Bowls for Hunger 2009

Held Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

Last year was our most successful fundraiser, which was especially rewarding given these difficult economic times. The donation to the Family Pantry for 2009 was $12,028. Again, the Family Pantry will receive a grant from the Feinstein Foundation. The amount they receive is directly affected by how much money we raise at Soup Bowls For Hunger.

Thank you to the potters who made and donated all those beautiful bowls. A big thanks also to members who donated their time the day of the event to help with the set up and with serving the meal.

Brewster Junior Troop 80930, Dennis Junior Troop 81219, the Brewster Treatment Program, and our co-sponsors the Cape Cod Regional Technical High School assisted the potters. Paper bags were donated by Cape Cod Paper Company and Kevin’s Petal Carte Florist donated the flowers.

Peter Spier Graphic Design and Mark Brouillette of Cape Cod Web Service donated all print materials.

Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank underwrote mailing costs and all food expenses.

A a big thank you to all of you, our Soup Bowl patron's for your continued support. Each year we see our supporters, some we are now on a first name basis with. Some have been supporting this event from our first year. It is a pleasure to see you each year, and know we are all making a difference.
